Throw it to the Fire is a frisky, sincere menace of stonking rockish roll. Mostly roll.
Evolving from Wellington’s polite grind, the band has channeled its grace and drink coupons to create music for enjoyable night time social scenarios and digesting the dank stench of the past. Think sporadic, blazing live shows that rally against the drain of adulthood, while retaining a sense of sophistication and refined bickering. Well, let’s just call them a rock band for now. A rather good one.
This is the pre-release of the Crumbs EP - showcasing the band’s sweet vitriol with a polish. Recorded within the remote fringes of Upper Hutt, the six featured tracks are a slap in the face for the end of youth, biting back against the grind and heartsickness. And hopefully an end to pissing around at soundcheck...
The Wellington EP launch will light up Wellington's Bar Medusa on Friday December 7, with shows in Hamilton and Auckland set for the following weekend:
